Review of The Green Miracle

ThorPorre

The Green Miracle, a film by Timothy Chicaul and Jordan Richard delves viscerally into the nature of Mitragyna speciosa, a tree native to Southeast Asia, and to the plain leaf powder products derived from its leaves that are marketed as herbal supplements and botanical teas also known as Kratom.

The negative controversy surrounding Kratom includes bodily harm, death, and becoming addicted.

“I am a believer in plant medicine. Nature has provided us with everything we need to heal.” – Jordan Richard.

The trailer dropped on May 26, 2024 and stars Jordan Richard the founder of New Hope Botanical’s. He recovered with the use of Kratom and has since helped thousands on his journey through healing and recovery from substance use disorders as well as those afflicted with chronic pain.

You can feel Jordan’s emotion as he shares his testimony of former challenges and overcoming these addictions.

Jordan is 32 years old, a husband, father, business owner and he says “I used to be a drug addict.”

He’s a wealth of information and has become an expert by his own lived experiences. My own knowledge has become greater because of him.

As Timothy Chicaul narrates, he says “A botanical Revolution is brewing. Captivating minds and igniting debates and vilified for its potential dangers. It stands at the crossroad of hope and controversy.

In an ever divided nation two opposing forces clash with fervor. On one side impassioned advocates extole its life saving virtues. On the others mourn the life of loved ones attributing it to Kratom’s dark side. In the halls of power, conflicting voices echo. Is Kratom a lifesaving her or a botanical menace”.

This is profoundly deep and currently accurate. His unwavering voice gave me chills of hope and redemption.

Timothy is a passionate documentary Film maker, photographer and vlogger with spirited heart.

Their documentary puts the spotlight on the lives of those who’ve benefited from this green miracle.

Its cornerstone is resilience in the lives of those who’ve prospered by consuming plain leaf powder. From chronic and intractable pain to opioid and substance use disorders and recovery it’s proven to be a sacred blessing in overcoming these    difficulties and hardships.

Kratom tea doesn’t cause intoxication or euphoria associated with common drug use. While it partially acts on opioid receptors to induce pain relieving properties and curb addiction withdrawals it doesn’t cause respiratory depression often caused by actual full agonist opiate medications or illicit narcotic street drugs.

Kratom plain leaf capsules or loose powder is not a synthetic opioid. Synthesizing may occur in the development of extracts and man made concoctions. Lives that have become disrupted by Kratom are predominantly those who’ve misused and abused otherwise safe amounts of the plant, or who’ve taken part in poly use of either herbs, prescribed or illegal street mixtures.

Dietary supplements such as Tianeptine and Phenibut could cause critical adverse effects when consumed together with Kratom.

Tragedies cannot be minimized yet blame cannot be solely placed on Kratom alone.

Always be mindful that not all supplements can be taken together. We cannot assume safety in any of them but we can be safe. As an example, I cannot take Kratom within an hour of Black Cohosh which I take to manage symptoms of Menopause nor can I take GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) marketed as neurotransmitter support which I use to ease my nervous system in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.

We support research and regulation. We support Kratom not being sold to minors. I wouldn’t reject to sales being equal to alcohol with 21 years old being the legal age to purchase.

Dijon Evan’s, who shares the same progressive, debilitating and incurable illness that I have (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy/ Complex Regional Pain Syndrome also know as the “Suicide Disease”) is featured in the documentary. She’s a proud and inspiring advocate for Kratom and the teas multitude of benefits for managing the unrelenting pain and symptoms of the disorder including comorbidities. Dijon is known as the original Queen of Kratom. We’ve been associates half a decade and I’m honored to call her friend.

Misty Brown, who’s featured in the film is known as the Queen of Kratom TikTok. She’s a loud and proud advocate and activist that rebuts mass misinformation. She suffers with Degenerative Disc Disease. Misty’s life was rescued from several years of active addiction using “the green miracle.” to change and evolve into a beautiful person. I’m proud of her and have been a colleague of hers over the last year.

The goals of these incredible advocates is to keep Kratom legal, keep options open, implement safety regulations, be responsible with our consumption and teach others to be with theirs so that we may take living to heart and be the best versions of ourselves we can be with the lives we’ve been dealt with.

Truth is often subjective and these are our truths!

The full feature film is currently in production. Jordan and Timothy still have cost, traveling and interviews that are estimated to take place over the next year.

In a Facebook post on May 29, 2024, Jordan writes:

“So the trailer for the green miracle is up to 132k views on tiktok. The comment section is like 65 percent people who support, and 35 percent people who very adamantly denounce what we’re doing. The misinformation out there is astounding.

Donations made will go strictly to travel, and equipment. I’ve already invested thousands and thousands of my own money to get this project off the ground. All donors will be placed in the credits, and we truly appreciate anyone who wants to support this passion project! We need to go to many various states to interview experts, advocates, and critics. We also will be traveling to the motherland, Indonesia.”

““Thankful for Kratom” was written by Jordan Richard (Owner of New Hope) and produced in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains.  This goes out to our kratom fam!”

Sharing is caring, too.

There’s always purpose born of pain. This is a film expressing our collective truths and redeeming new hope.

Ambient Artificial Intelligence Clinical Documentation: Workflow Support with Emerging Governance Risk

Health systems are increasingly deploying ambient artificial intelligence tools that listen to clinical encounters and automatically generate draft visit notes. These systems are intended to reduce documentation burden and allow clinicians to focus more directly on patient interaction. At the same time, they raise unresolved questions about patient consent, data handling, factual accuracy, and legal responsibility for machine‑generated records. Recent policy discussions and legal actions suggest that adoption is moving faster than formal oversight frameworks. The practical clinical question is...
