The AAMC, a leading national group representing medical colleges, has established a Center for Health Justice, acknowledging the role that medical education plays in establishing a future of health equity.
AAMC set up the AAMC Center for Health Justice as a part of its overall strategic plan for improving health equity and closing health disparities in communities across the country.
“Everyone has the right to the healthiest life possible. Health equity, however, is still not the reality for many communities across the country,” Philip M. Alberti, PhD, founding director of the AAMC Center for Health Justice, said in a statement.
